                          You no longer need to define third party sensors using custom maps, as we have added purpose made sensor definitions for commonly used sensors such as fuel pressure or coolant pressure. These custom sensors have their own dedicated live data parameters which can be logged, used in Custom Maps, trigger a failsafe condition or they can be used by our new compensation maps.<\/p>\n

                          Boost sensor input problems have been addressed by using one OEM boost sensor to supply the ECU with both boost sensor input, leaving one free to be re-purposed for custom sensor inputs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

                          To support the latest trends in large injectors we have added maps for injector latency and low pulse width compensation. OEM strategies provide only a linear latency which is correct over a narrow voltage range.<\/p>\n

                          Now you can use plug and play data from your injector supplier to correct properly for the full range of battery voltage.\u00a0Using a third party fuel pressure sensor added via our Custom Sensor Inputs you can also calibrate injector latency and non-linearity for fuel pressure.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

                          Closed loop clutch slip control<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

                          New for Phase 6 is Clutch Slip Protection . To meet the increasing demands of higher and higher power levels being achieved on a reprogrammed factory ECU, ecutek have added a strategy to adjust the power output to control and prevent clutch slip. This can be used to both impose a torque limit and\/or retard the ignition to temporarily reduce power to halt clutch slip to acceptable levels. This strategy will cater for instances where the TCM does not send a torque reduction request after a launch. The Clutch Slip Gain map is used to change the overall torque reduction response to clutch slip, the Torque Limit Gain and Ignition Retard Gain determine how that torque reduction is achieved, this is detailed below.<\/p>\n

                            Failsafes are not only essential for remote tuning but also for dyno tuning big power cars as things can go wrong and destroy an engine in the blink of an eye. Keeping engines safe is easier than ever with the introduction of purpose made failsafes. A limp mode style torque limit is activated when any of the following are out of range:<\/p>\n
                              \n
                            • Short term fuel trim<\/strong>\u00a0– Pick up on tuning or fuel system problems<\/li>\n
                            • Knock retard<\/strong>\u00a0– Highlight fuel quality issues<\/li>\n
                            • Fuel pressure*<\/strong>\u00a0– Eliminate lean conditions before it can occur<\/li>\n

                              These can be individually enabled per Mapswitch Mode, and ignored at low load and RPM. Optionally the torque limit can be delayed until cornering force is reduced to an acceptable level, to prevent sudden power loss mid-corner in circuit use. Once triggered a failsafe condition can auto-heal after a configurable time delay, or be reset by keying off and back on.<\/p>\n

                              Limp Mode Stored Flags<\/h2>\n

                              RaceROM now records the last limp mode so you can check it afterwards, even if the ignition has been switched off, although it\u2019s theoretically possible to trigger more than one at a time I\u2019ve not seen it, but as an example a flag value of 10 would be 2+8 so Low oil pressure and High STFT. For reference the flags are as follows

                              Knowing what’s happening inside a 1500hp GT-R with just 25 logging channels is arguably impossible!<\/p>\n

                              RaceROM Phase 6 live data throughput has been increased by up to 50%, the default logging returns 60 parameters at over 40Hz. This can be even be extended to over 100 parameters while maintaining a logging rate of 20hz.<\/p>\n

                              Using ECU Connect to combine TCM logging it’s possible to log a massive 245 parameters at a useable 10hz, enabling data capture on a scale not yet seen with OEM GT-R hardware.<\/p>\n

                              We have added live data to support the new features in Phase 6, but we have also responded to tuner feedback and added<\/p>\n\n\n\n
