Throughout the summer 2013 the EcuTeK GT-R team have been busy working on the latest update of RaceROM. The previous versions of Phase 2 & 3 have been huge success greatly moving the GT-R platform to another level with advance features from the Nissan OE ECU. Including high resolution calibration tables and custom map inputs allowing us to make almost any unique custom map we wish giving more control over boost, traction control, ignition timing, torque, AFR and more.
GTC have been working closely with EcuTeK UK testing and feedback into new features. Leading up to the announcement at SEMA 2013 of the latest release code names PHASE 4.
What’s new in EcuTeK raceROM PHASE 4 ?
New ECM Datalog Parameters
- Engine Oil Pressure
- 4WD Torque Split
- Lateral G Force
- Longitudinal G Force
- Rotational G Force
- Steering Wheel Angle
New custom map Inputs
With the latest Phase 4 racerom we can now set up even more configurations of custom map. Of particular interest is Safety trips such as a Lean Lambda Trip!
Tuners can now build a table and enter a set lambda not to go above at configurable situations with activation options are also taken into account to stop the trip activating unnecessary.
- AF Ratio Bank 1 & 2
- Short Term fuel trims Bank 1 &2
- Engine oil Pressure
- Engine oil temp
- Fuel Temperature
- 4WD Torque Split
- Lateral G Force
- Longitudinal G Force
- Rotational G Force
- Steering Wheel Angle
Rolling Boost
Rolling boost allows the driver to set a fixed speed using the cruise control setting, while building positive boost in the manifold. You can then hit cancel on the cruise control and the GT-R will launch off. Rolling boost can make massive gains in acceleration / performance time. The feature works fantastic on stock turbo GT-R and even better on laggy larger turbo specs.
Advanced TCM control & Data logging
EcuTek have opened up literately 100′s of the Nissan GT-R OEM tables allowing the calibrator control of the way the gearbox performs. Some of these tables include highest rpm shifts in auto-mode, allowing for example shifting up at 8,000rpm instead of the oem setting 6000rpm far more suitable for the larger turbo & big cam spec. We can also reduce clutch slip and increase the speed of gear shifts when in R-mode.
